Before being called to the Bar and joining Chambers, Janet spent 14 years working for the Lord Chancellor's Department and Court Service.

She has put that to good use in establishing herself at the Swansea Bar and is one of the very few female junior Counsel there who specialises exclusively in Crime. She was rapidly appointed a Category 4 Prosecutor and has gained considerable experience of both prosecution and defence in the Crown Court.

A member of the Criminal Bar Association.
