Nia joined Chambers as a tenant in March 2026 following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Kate Smith.

Nia studied Law at Exeter University. Thereafter, she  graduated the BTC with a ‘Very Competent’ from Cardiff University.

Nia has developed a broad practice and accepts instructions in public and private law matters, financial remedy proceedings, small claims and personal injury.

 

Practice Areas

Family law

Nia has a busy family law practice representing both applicants and respondents in a range of family matters in the County Court before Magistrates, District Judges and Circuit Judges.

Nia frequently receives instructions relating to applications for Child Arrangement Orders, Special Guardianship Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders. Nia represents a range of individuals in these applications including parents, grandparents and the children’s guardian. Nia undertakes work at all stages of proceedings in private law children matters from conciliation and directions hearings through to final hearings.

Nia has represented clients in ancillary relief cases, public law matters and family injunction applications for Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.

Civil law

Nia regularly undertakes work on a variety of small claim matters, particularly in respect of Road Traffic Accidents where liability and quantum are disputed. Nia also receives instructions to represent both claimants and defendants in Stage 3 hearings in respect of personal injury. Further work includes claims for possession made under section 8 and section 21 of the Housing Act 1988.
